It seems counterintuitive that in order to move forward and change, first we must accept what currently is. However, if the focus is on how much extra weight the body is carrying or in resentment of someone that was the source of hurt, the focus cannot then be on healing. The weight will stay as long as we are focusd on it. The disgruntled feelings will continue to rule our emotional state while we foucs on the hurt we experienced.
To know how to get to where you want to go, you must first know where you are. Acknowledging your current state of being informs your starting point, then we can work together to create a path to where you want to be.
